Hydro Mix & Fix – High Early Strength Repair Mortar

Hydro Mix & Fix is a high-performance pre-blended rapid repair mortar specially formulated for fast-track concrete repairs where minimum downtime is essential. Designed for industrial, commercial and civil repair applications, Hydro Mix & Fix delivers exceptional early strength, high bond performance and durable long-term repairs.

This advanced cementitious repair mortar incorporates selected aggregates and specially formulated additives that allow repaired surfaces to achieve adequate strength for trafficking in approximately 1 hour under normal conditions.

Hydro Mix & Fix is ideal for repairing concrete pavements, industrial floors, loading bays, bridge decks, precast concrete elements and water-retaining structures. Its non-shrink properties and high early strength make it the perfect solution for urgent repair work requiring rapid return to service.

Typical Setting Times at 22°C

• Initial Set: Approximately 10 minutes

• Trafficable: Approximately 1 hour

• Initial Set: Approximately 60 minutes

Mixing Instructions

Mortar Application

For standard mortar repairs:

• 1 x 25kg bag Hydro Mix & Fix

• Add 2 – 2.5 litres clean water

Concrete Repair Application

For concrete consistency repairs:

• 1 x 25kg bag Hydro Mix & Fix

• Add maximum 2 litres clean water

Small Batch Mixing

• 5kg Hydro Mix & Fix

• Add approximately 400ml – 500ml clean water

Important Mixing Notes

• No priming is required.

• Do not add cement, sand or additional additives.

• Never add more water than recommended.

• Excess water will reduce strength and performance.

• Mix only quantities that can be applied within the working time.

• When mixing small batches, dry mix the full bag before separating quantities.

Surface Preparation

For best results:

• Surfaces must be clean, sound and free from dust, grease, oil and contaminants.

• Remove loose or deteriorated concrete before repair.

• Repair areas should be square cut to a minimum depth of 25mm.

• Feather edging is not recommended.

• Exposed reinforcing steel should be wire brushed or sandblasted before application.

Application Instructions

1. Prepare the repair area thoroughly.

2. Mix Hydro Mix & Fix to the required consistency.

3. Apply immediately and compact properly into the repair area.

4. Finish to the desired profile before initial set occurs.

5. Protect repaired areas during initial curing where necessary.
