Hydro Seal Marble Range – Premium Swimming Pool Waterproof Coating

Hydro Seal Marble Range is a premium cementitious waterproof coating system specially developed for swimming pools, water features and high-end water-retaining structures requiring a smooth decorative finish.

Formulated with selected fine-grade aggregates and proprietary activating chemicals, the Marble Range provides superior waterproofing protection while delivering an elegant smooth surface finish ideal for modern pool applications.

Unlike standard waterproof coatings, Hydro Seal Marble Range combines deep penetrating crystalline waterproofing technology with a refined finish that enhances the appearance of swimming pools while protecting the structure against water penetration, dampness and hydrostatic pressure.

The system becomes an integral part of the concrete surface, forming a durable waterproof barrier that is suitable for both new construction and renovation projects.

Coverage

Approximate coverage is:

• 1.5kg/m² per coat
• 2 coats recommended for optimal waterproofing protection and finish quality.

Coverage may vary depending on substrate condition and surface profile.

Working & Curing Time

• Working time: Approximately 60 minutes at 20°C
• Minimum curing time between coats: 12 hours
• Final curing depends on weather and site conditions

Mixing Instructions

Standard Mix Ratio – 25kg Kit

For 1 x 25kg bag of Hydro Seal Marble Range:

• Mix with 3 litres Hydro Bonding Agent
• Add 6 litres clean water

Mixing Method

1. Pour the Hydro Bonding Agent and clean water into a clean mixing container.
2. Slowly add the Marble Range powder while mixing continuously.
3. Mix thoroughly until a smooth, creamy and lump-free slurry is achieved.
4. Allow the mixture to stand for approximately 2 minutes to activate the chemicals.
5. Remix briefly before application.

Important Notes

• Do not re-temper once the product has started setting.
• Stir occasionally during application to prevent settlement.
• Only mix quantities that can be used within the working time.

Surface Preparation

For best results:

• Ensure surfaces are clean, sound and free from dust, grease, oil and loose material.
• Remove laitance, curing compounds and contaminants.
• Repair structural cracks before application.
• Pre-saturate the surface with clean water before coating.
• Remove all free-standing water prior to application.

Application Instructions

1. Apply the first coat evenly using a block brush or suitable waterproofing brush.
2. Allow the first coat to cure for a minimum of 12 hours.
3. Apply the second coat at right angles to the first coat for maximum coverage and waterproofing protection.
4. For decorative swimming pool finishes, final smoothing may be done carefully during application to achieve the desired marble finish appearance.
5. Protect freshly coated surfaces from rain, direct contamination and mechanical damage during curing.
